A crucified Christ and a miniature of the cod fishing lugger "Navegante," gifted by its maker, José Domingues Pena, in 1919, to Senhor Jesus dos Navegantes for having survived a shipwreck. This is the most symbolic float in a procession that means so much to the seafarers of Ílhavo! "He who doesn't row has already rowed!" says the proverb, which applies so well here and makes the Mass of Remembrance for the deceased seafarers so well-attended.
