Sines Nautical Station

Birthplace of the navigator Vasco da Gama, Sines is Alentejo with a view of the Atlantic.

With the parish of Sines (to the north) and Porto Covo (to the south), the municipality of Sines is located exactly in the middle of the Alentejo Coast, between the Santo André and Sancha Lagoon Nature Reserve and the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park.

This privileged geographical position offers a diversity of landscapes and activities linked to the sea and nature to be enjoyed throughout the year.

With 30km of coastline, the municipality of Sines has beaches for all tastes and boasts the only marina on the maritime coast between Setúbal and the Algarve.

In terms of the economy, Sines stands out as one of the most dynamic territories in Portugal, anchored in the activity linked to its seaport and in an energy cluster geared towards the future.

Culture is another hallmark of Sines, from its built heritage linked to the memories of Vasco da Gama to a rich program of events, most notably the World Music Festival, one of the largest "world music" festivals in Europe.

The Sines Nautical Station comprises a network of high-quality nautical tourism offerings, organized around the integrated enhancement of the nautical resources present in the territory. It includes accommodation, restaurants, nautical activities, and other relevant activities and services to attract tourists and other users, adding value and creating diverse and integrated experiences.

The Sines Nautical Station is certified by Fórum Oceano, within the framework of the Nautical Stations of Portugal.
