The Western Portugal Tourism Centre® was created with the desire to share with you unique and unforgettable experiences in nature, flavors, and traditions of the past that make the present better, and to contribute to making tourism a success for those who visit Portugal.

Showing the best that the Western Region of Portugal has to offer, along with a passion for nature and the experiences it provides, results in a mix of adventure and adrenaline that leads us to the highest points of Estremadura with our gaze fixed on Lisbon.

The Western Portugal Tourism Centre®'s main mission is the training of nature and cultural tourism guides, with short courses for all those who work in the tourism sector, for those who pursue a career in the sector, or simply for those who always like to learn more and for whom training is not an obstacle.

For the more adventurous and those with a "boost" of adrenaline, we share trails through long-distance trekking where you can explore the entire West, from the coast to the interior and from north to south.

Hiking activities take place in natural or urban environments, always seeking remote or unique locations, unknown and full of history and charm.

We love nature and discovering the unknown, always learning more, with the certainty that the experiences lived make the CTO participants and their guides better and more complete people in their knowledge, in their essence, and with a greater sense of responsibility in the protection and conservation of natural and cultural values.
